History – Camdeboo National Park

Conservation of the Camdeboo area aimed to protect unique geological features, cultural heritage, and endemic fauna. Park creation involved local stakeholders and focused on preserving the Valley of Desolation while enabling tourism that supports nearby towns and conservation projects.
